Can Pipe Flow Module not cool solids from the outside?

I would like to model a heat generating cylinder (nuclear fuel rod) that is cooled by fluid flowing around it (coolant). I would like to use Heat Transfer in Solids for the "fuel rod", and I would like to model "coolant" flowing around the outside as internal flow in a heated pipe . In other words, I want a model that assigns the heat ouput of the fuel rod to the heat input of the "coolant" pipe. I am unsure how to couple the models so that the outside wall of the "fuel rod" has the same temperature/heat flux as the outside wall of the "coolant" pipe.

How can I do this? CFD is not an option. While I have a license for the module, it will be too computationally expensive for what I am planning.
