Selection with name

Hi,
I am a new student to start COMSOL. I have some questions in selection domains:
When I import a model and try to follow the description, I need to select the right object, but I need to try one after another without knowing their names. How can I see their names when I click on them? And second, is there anyway to input the objects by typing their names into the selection list window?

Hello Yingkang,
You can make the software display the numbers of points, edges, boundaries, or domains in the Graphics window. This behavior is controlled by the Definitions>View node. But for a model with a lot of points, lines, boundaries, or domains you may find that this overcrowds the Graphics window.
One alternative approach: you can type in the numbers of the points, edges, boundaries, or domains by defining your selection using the "Paste Selection" button (See screenshot attached). In the small Paste Selection window that appears you can use hyphens as a shortcut notation to indicate consecutive numbers. Example: type "7-10 14" to select boundaries 7, 8, 9, 10, and 14.
One more point. On the Home ribbon, you can go to Windows and select Selection List. This will add a window to the COMSOL Desktop in which you can pick points, edges, boundaries or domains by number (They get highlighted in the Graphics window).
