Time stepping

Hey !

When time steps taken by solver is 'Free' the help says 'the time-stepping method choose time steps freely'. Does this mean the the time steps are taken based on the order of the time stepping scheme and the error (relative and absolute errors) determined ?

Did I understand it right?
