Stop Time in Time dependent solver doesn't get updated during Point evaluation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,

I was doing a time dependent 1D reaction-diffusion simulation using Comsol 4.4.

In order to obtain the concentration on a specific spatial point (say, 0.5 in dimensionless domain) I used "Cut Point 1D". However, if I change the stop time in "Time dependent" tab under the "study" section, I don't see the changed time in my "point evaluation". Just to clarify, every time I change the "stop time" I delete the previously calculated "solution" and do a new computation.

Could anyone tell me what's really going on? I am actually trying to evaluate the time it takes to reach steady state.

Thanks,

Shahriar
