FWHM Optimization

I have trouble in identifying the objective function for FWHM in Comsol when I tried to optimize full-width-half-maximum of absorption-frequency dependence by changing parameters of the design.
The amplitude of reflection wave is solved numerically. I defined the absorption coefficient as a derived variable and swept in certain frequency range. The program can output the absorption-frequency relation as desired for fixed parameter but I don't know how to set the objective function in optimization process.
Any help would be appreciated.
