Dear all,
for my university project I am performing in the lab a modal analysis of a Carbon Fibre plate.
My next step is to bond a piezoelectric patch transducer (either a PZT type or a MFC type) on the surface of my plate.
Before doing that in practice, I would like to simulate in COMSOL the modal analysis of the Plate + Piezoelectric patch, just to check how the addition of the patch (without any voltage applied) is influencing the dynamics of the plate.
I have already been able to perform a simple eigenfrequency analysis of the carbon fibre plate only, but now I do not how I should properly connect (in COMSOL) the patch as additional component to the plate.
Which steps should I follow?
Thanks,
Luca
