Potential Distribution on Parallel plate electrode of battery without considering electrochem

Hello

I am new to COMSOL.
I want to model the potential distribution on the surface of a thin rectangular electrode pair of a battery cell. But the electrochemical physic is simplified by a resistance. The full model concept is published in a open source journal paper-
jes.ecsdl.org/content/162/1/A181.full.pdf+html

I am confused which module i should use. I consider using first the primary current distribution, but electrolyte has to be considered there.
Than considered using electric current (ec). I am not sure how to add separate equation for Normal current to the plane (J). Which is a function of open circuit potential and Overpotential resistance. Both of these variable are functions of State of Charge of the cell and are known from experiment.

Thank you in advance
