Turbulence length for 3d flow

Hi all,

what is an appropriate turbulence length for the inlet of a 3D channel. Can I use 0.07*channel_width as recommended in the doc for the 2D case?

Regards, Marcel

That estimate is as good as any. It is not an exact science. You can prove this to yourself by using various values for the inlet turbulence, then realize that the difference is small downstream enough from the inlet.
