Swept meshing is a powerful technique but it requires that several condition be met. You will find them listed in the Reference Manual for COMSOL Multiphysics, version 5.3a, page 556. All manuals are accessible through File > Help > Documentation.
The error message suggests that you may be in a situation similar to the example on page 546 of that same manual, in which case the same type of virtual operation discussed there may apply to your work as well. It's hard to say for sure without having access to your .mph file.
