How to define the normal and tangential component of a variable in boundary condition?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am new to COMSOL and struggling to learn it. I need to solve a problem in 2D using the weak form PDE study.

At the boundary condition stage, I need to assign a condition expressed as:

,

where is my variable and and is my tangential and normal vector respectively, c is a constant.

My question is how to apply these boundary conditions since I do not know how to find the normal and tangential vector of them.

Any help would be appreciate. Thank you.
