how to derive inductance of the 3d transmission line under magnetic field

I want to simulate the distributed RL for a transmission line. It is similar to https://www.comsol.com/blogs/model-cables-and-transmission-lines-in-comsol-multiphysics/. But I want to do it in 3D geometry. I am lost in the RL derivation. In the example, the user exites current via coil. Under coil, there is option of reversed currrent direction. However in 3D geomtery, there is no such option. All I get under the coil is coil geometry analysis, and under this there is input and output. Anyway I do the settings as in the example, but my simulation never converges. I checked some other papers for such simulation with other softwares. What they do is to short circuit the conductor and screen on one cable side while giving a source on the other side. I wonder in comsol how to do this? How can I short circuit the screen and conductor by setting?(They not not connected in the geometry)
