In the microwave oven tutorial in the electromagnetics waves, frequency domain, port 2 half model, port mode settings the input quantity is the electric field. the value put in the z coordinate is cos(piy/dg)[V/m]. Can anyone tell me what the y means?

Also is this the value of E in the wave equation that is solved?

Tressa, y is coordiante in y direction. The peak value of the Ez field is at y=0 and and it decreases to zero at y=dg
