coalescence of 2 particles under surface tension of surrounding medium

Dear all,

i am a phd student and I am stucked in an important model in my phd thesis. I am trying to model the coalesence of 2 visoelastic polymer particles under the surface tension pressure of the surrounding water medium.

please can help me in which modules I have to use to model this coalesence?

Hi,

probably you can use FSI (fluid structure interaction) and 2 phase flow

probably the best way to start is to do some tutorials first:

the problem that i face that i can't use the surfac etension for the fluid module to intertact with the solid in the structure mechanics module

because the surface tension can be applied only to fluid-fluid interface while i have to add the viscoelastic properties through the solid mechanics module
