fuel cell porous electrode

Hi all,
I am trying to model a fuel cell porous electrode and I am using TCDEE, Darcy's Law and Heat transfer in porous media interfaces.
I have to define the Hear Source (Q) which is a function of the current density (i), the electrolyte potential (phil) and the electrode potential (phis).
Q=f(di/dx, dphil/dx, dphis/x)

However, the current density, phis and phil are given by the TCDEE, how can I define the expression for Q if I do not know these variables?

I have tried with
di/dx=mod1.tcdee.ilocx
dphil/dx=mod1.tcdee.philx
dphis/dx=mod1.tcdee.phisx
but it does not work.

Could anyone help me?
Thanks in advance,
Belén
