Electric Field Lines Distribution at Tips

Dear All I am trying to resimulate a published paper which I have attached. That is basically showing two electrodes, having nanospikes at one electrode. So the electricfield should be maxmium at tips. I am using Electrostatics/stationary and spent weeks trying simulate it but failed. Its seems very simple 2D simulation if someone can help.
