Frictional heat generation

Hello, I recently encountered a problem about frictional heat generation. The model I created was generated by pressing an object on another object in the structural mechanics module and then calculating it based on their friction work in the heat transfer module Heat. But it ca n’t always be achieved. My model can move but the temperature never rises. How to write the work done by friction into the heat source in the heat transfer module to achieve frictional heat generation?

Hi,

In the Heat Transfer in Solids interface, add a Pair Thermal Contact node. There, you find a section called Thermal Friction.

Henrik
