Charge Accumulation under Voltage (AC/DC)

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I have been trying to figure out if there will be accumulated charge around nanoparticles on a thin-film, if the film is under AC or DC potential. There are hypothesis suggesting that charge carrier relaxation time difference between film material and nanoparticles can cause this charge accumulation.

I am relatively new to COMSOL, and have been trying out to see if this is possoible to model. Which modules should I use, and how to model this? Any advise would be highly appreciated.

I have attached the schematic drawing. Schematic
