derivation of strain rate component in cylindrical coordinates

I am trying to implement a creep model in comsol utilizing a rather simple isotropic creep strain rate as follow:
ec=A(estress)^1.3
where ec is the equivalent strain rate, A is a known constant and estress is the equivalent stress. I am trying to set up the model in a cylindrical coordinate system. Consequently, comsol requires me to define strain rate component in each of the principle directions, r, phi and z.
This should be a relatively simple problem for those who have a mechanical engineering background that I do not. I wonder if anyone could provide some suggestions for how to derive such strain component for the r, phi and z directions? I tried to search for it on google but got scattered results which did not help much.
