Simulation Restart after Automatic Remeshing for Moving Mesh Model

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am using a time dependant moving mesh model with an external force on the fluid interface and automatic remeshing due to a large deformation in the fluid.

When the automatic remeshing criteria is met, the model will sometimes restart from the previous geometry instead of making a new deformed geometry. It has happened with the first remesh where no results have been saved and also after a few remeshes where the previous geometry went further through time and was taken back to a previous state.

In the log file it states "Restarted computation" when this occurs.

Does anyone know the cause of this or how to avoid this from happening?
