The field strength referenced under the current field appears to be zero

The two boundary of the two-dimensional model are fixed electric potential, the conductivity of the material is defined as the change with the field intensity.But,empty matrix appears in the simulation.Change "E" to "E+1" in the conductivity formula, I can simulate the result,but there is no the situation that "E=0".What is the problem?!
