Transport of diluted species

Dear all, I am simulting a chemical reaction using the transport of diluted species physic. My model is 1D. I set as initial value the concentration of the 2 chemical species reacting and also the reaction. To faithfully model the physics of my problem I need to include after an interval of 0.5s that the residual concentration of one of the two chemical species adds up to 0.4 mol/l. I thought of solving the problem in several ways: 1. insert a time-dependent function in the initial conditions 2. run concatenated studies lasting 0.5s each in which the initial conditions of study 2 are the residual concentrations of study 1 At the moment I cannot solve my problem in both ways. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thank you Florinda
