Change in capacitance caused by structural deformation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I have the following problem. I need to measure the change in capacitance caused by deformation due to an applied force. I managed to simulate this in 2D. However, I am not able to simulate this in 3D. Whatever I do the capacitance stays constant, which means that there is something wrong with the way I implemented ALE. I have problem with defining the boundaries of deforming mesh and assinging displacement values. I have attached my simple 3D model. Could please someone take a look at it and tell me how to properly define ALE physics? I would be very grateful!

Thank you
Mantas
