Use Inlet/Outlet as Valve

Hello,
I'm new to CFD but I have gathered some knowledge about fluid dynamics in school. In my project I have to simulate a diaphragm pump and I want to begin with some simple boundary conditions like an ideal check valve which allows free laminar flow in one direction and blocks flow in the other direction. Can I use Inlets/Outlets as these valves? And if possible, which condition do I have to use?
