1D elements in 3D analysis

I have a cylinder of some solid material with a narrow central channel filled with presumably a fluid. The channel, connected to the "outside", transports heat and species to and from the solid by diffusion.

The channel is narrow and I am not interested in the temperature and concentration profiles over the cross-section of the channel. Using 1D elements would greatly reduce the mesh complexity. I think Ansys has such a feature. Is there a similar thing for COMSOL?
