Model light absorption by matter

Hello,

I want to create a model that simulates the light absorption by matter of the evanascent wave of reflected light. I currently have a model that simulates only the creation of an evanascent wave. However, i am stuck how to model the light absorption by matter of this evanscent wave.

I was wondering if someone knows the best way to approach this. Thanks in advance.
