Adding a mass on a hollow tapered cylinder

Hi, i m trying to add a mass to the top of a tapered hollow cylinder in beams but it's not working. i have tried add point mass but it's not working or it adds the mass at the edge but i need the entire top surface of the cylinder at the center of the top cylinder. Also the top surface should not squeeze in any direction because it only represents in the mass of nacelle-rotor component in a wind turbine model. should i use in this case rigid connector?

I think you need to attach a sketch or a model file to make it easier for anyone to give suggestions.
