Negative Scattering Cross Section for Model

Hello Comsol Forum Readers,
I am modelling a metallic nanoparticle on a substrate. I am noticing that the scattering cross section becomes negative for lower wavelengths in the study for larger particles, and is always negative for smaller particles; has anyone found ways to resolve this?
I've tried increasing the mesh resolution and lowering the growth rate. My study's domain in lambda is 525nm to 725nm, I have PMLs that are 400nm thick, and the PMLs are 400nm away from the surface of the nanoparticle. I also have meshed the model at lambda/10/n, where n is the index of the medium. The nanoparticle has a 4nm mesh, and mesh growth rates are set to 1.05 outside the particle.
Any suggestions?
