Batteries & Fuel Cells: Electrode Power Boundary Condition

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear Community,

i'm modelling a charge/discharge cycle in a 1-d model. I want to apply the "Electrode Power" Node to limit the applied current given a set voltage or vice versa, but I cannot get it to work properly. Has anyone here used this feature and could help me a bit?

I did insert "Electrode Power" and set the Selection to the positive electrode. I can set a value for P_total. But when i start my model the boundary has no effect. Do i have to define the Power variable (P = I*U) somewhere? How is the "Electrode Power" Boundary supposed to work? I cannot find anything in the manual and tried many different ways to solve this, but i am stuck!

Best Regards.
