solid liquid interface, heat transfer

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone...

My geometry model is rectangle in which solid material is heated from left end.

The rectangle model have two horizontal sides which are insulated and right side have a initial temperature and left side is time dependent temperature.

I run the model for 5hrs.

During first and second hours the conduction held and remaining convection.

However, during conduction for first and second hours the solid liquid interface are observed and the boundary movement of this solid liquid interface moves very fast (i.e. 2m to 3m more than actual reading).

So, my question is how to control the conduction part for first and second hours so that the solid liquid boundary should be within limit.

Also it doesn't properly converge during conduction? and how to solved this modified newton problem.

Thanks in advanced.
