determine the approximated initial guess of every time step at a time dependent solver

Hi,

I have solved a 1D time dependent problem(electric current and transport of diluted species), and performed linear extrusion to a 2D geometry. I now want to solve the same physics at this 2D geometry, and use the solution from the extruded problem(basically the solution from 1D) as the approximated initial guess for every time step. Is it possible to do that? Can I determine the intial guess for the dependent variables for every time step and not only for t=0?

Thank you in advance,
Nancy
