Question about layered Plate model in 3D

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

So, there's a 2D simulation model in the model library, where three layered plates (carrier at bottom, substrate in the middle, and a coating layer on top) experience thermal stress induced by a temperature drop. This model shows the thermal stress distribution on the plates.

Now, my goal is to basically generate the same thing except that it's in 3D. It has all the steps it takes to generate the 2D model. But, I'm pretty new to Comsol. So, I'm wondering if anyone can help me out and briefly guide me through the major steps I should do to create this 3D model.

Thanks a lot in advance for any feedbacks.
