out-of-plane joule heating model (3D)

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I've found in "Joule Heating (3D)" model a parameter called "out-of-plane", but I don't understand how it works. The documentation explains about the 2D models or convective/radiation nodes, but nothing about the 3D models. The default value is 1 meter (!!!).

PS: my geometry consists of a thin membrane (1mm x 1mm) of three layers: 200nm (heat transfer in solids model) + 180nm (joule heating model) + 200nm (heat transfer in solids model).

Thank for the help
