Random displacement

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello all,

I have designed a permanent magnet quadrupole. Its layout is based on a number of magnet and some iron parts. What I want to do now is to evaluate the mechanical tolerances I have thus I want to randomly move the different part and for each displacement I will study the harmonic contents of the magnetic field.
I was thinking to use the deformed mesh but it is not very clear to me how to control the displacements.
Could you give me some advice?
Is there any tutorial or example I can study and use as a reference?

Thanks
Francesco
