Identifying Material Parameters

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi everyone,

I have a question concerning the identification of material parameters. I am simulating a beam with a hyperelastic material model, on one side I have a fixed constraint, on the other side a prescribed displacement (in principle a cantilever). As experimental data I have the resulting force as reaction to the displacement. In my model, I can measure the resulting force in subject to the displacement for any set of material parameters.

How can I identify the material parameters (e.g. from a Mooney-Rivlin model) with this data? Is there a possibility?

Thanks
Philipp
