Reached singularity when I use open boundary conditions

I am currently using the laminar flow module in my log drying simulation. The goal is to see how windspeed effects heat transfer in open air.
When the Top and bottom of the domais are walls, the model seems to work just fine. However, when I change them to open boundary conditions I get, the error,
Repeated error test failures. May have reached a singularity
Last time step is not converged.
I only get this error when they are open boundary conditions.

I am not sure why. I know that the top and bottom will not be walls in nature since this is wind outside.
The windspeed is from an interpolated function, obtained from data from a weather station
