Structural Mechanics: Extension Rate

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

I am trying to simulate a relatively simple beam deformation scenario, where I need to define the extension rate [mm/min] for a specific point.

Think of it as an experimental setup where a small robot-arm pushes down on a point of the beam with a constant extension rate until a pre-defined maximum displacement limit reached.

Under Solid Mechanics, I found "Points/Prescribed Displacement", but I can't define the displacement rate. Is this possible in COMSOL at all?

Many thanks,
Bartu
