Outlet BC with velocity at boundary

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am using COMSOL 4.4 and the FSI physics with a Time Dependent Study. I want to define an outlet BC with laminar outflow so I can define the exit length at the outlet which is important for the model. Problem is, I want the outlet to have the specified velocity or pressure that is solved by COMSOL when the pressure is put into the model with my inlet condition. How can I define the velocity of the outlet to be what the velocity will be at that boundary? I tried to define the exit pressure as "fsi.p" or velocity as "fsi.U" but I always get the error: "Failed to evaluate variable Jacobian".

Any help is appreciated!!
