Fluid flow interaction with gravel (solid)

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

The aim of the simulation is to determine the shear force needed to cause uplift and drag force of the fluid (water) flowing past a solid (gravel material of size 3.35mm) -- This is to understand what happened during runoff or soil erosion and channel erosion.

Physical modelling were conducted using 10cm width of hydraulic flume. Flowrate and fluid velocity was obtained.

I am new to Comsol multi-physics and I have not seen similar model of this simulation .

Please I need assistance on how to model it, set the physics, to obtain energy dissipated by the fluid as a result of collision with the solid and the Reynolds number
