Tracking position of an isotherm

Hi, I am modelling the freezing process of water in 1-D with one side fixed at 263 K and the other end fixed at 275K. I would like to track the position of freezing temperature (T=273K) at different time. I know this can be done manually but is there a more systematic approach? Attached is the gif file related to the problem.
