Modelling Gear drives in Comsol to validate overall system dynamics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,
I'm using Comsol to model a micro gear drive(with a rack and pinion) which would be activated to generate rotational movement) by a linear actuator. I'm in a controversial situation of selecting the method, contact pair types and the boundary condition which would correctly model the dynamics of the gear drive and the rack and pinion.

I would like to know your valuable suggestions to validate my overall system dynamics(gear drives with linear actuator) to make a reliable device.
Thank you.....
