Optical fiber simulation: PML thickness

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

Recently I am doing simulations of optcial fibers aimed to calculating their confinement losses. When adding a Perfect Matched Layer (PML), I came across a problem: I've no idea about how large the PML thickness should be. When I tried different thicknesses, different losses can hence be obtained. Please is there anyone who knows the criterion on this selection? Thank you so much.

Yang
