System Requirements: Model Manager Server Version 6.1

Hardware Requirements

The hardware requirements for the Model Manager server include:

  • A network card and internet connection for installing the server
  • At least 4 GB of memory for the Model Manager server installation.
  • About 1 GB of disk space for the Model Manager server installation, depending on your installation options.
  • The following processors:
    • An Intel® or AMD® 64-bit processor based on the Intel® 64 or AMD64 architecture with the SSE4 instruction set
      (Intel® processors released in 2009 or later and AMD® processors released in 2012 or later satisfy this requirement.)
    • Apple silicon processors (M1 and later), supported with macOS
    • ARMv8 processors, supported with Linux®

In addition, Adobe Acrobat® Reader is required to view and print the COMSOL documentation in PDF format.

License Requirements

The Model Manager server requires a floating network license (FNL).

Java Environment

COMSOL Multiphysics® is shipped with a OpenJDK 11.0.13. You can choose an alternative Java 11 runtime of version 11.0.9.1 or later during installation.
