Solving for a specific Pressure or Force in COMSOL?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am fairly new to COMSOL and I am trying to simulate two different things:

1. Injection of a liquid through a small tube that connects to a larger tube with a wire inside.

2. Injection of air through a tube to inflate a balloon.

I've been able to somewhat do #1 without the wire. However, my main goal is to solve for the pressure needed for it to actually work. In real life a syringe is used to inject air or liquid through these tubes and I need to figure out the pressure I would need for the specific of my design. I don't think I'm approaching this correctly but I've applied an inlet to the bottom far right tube at 1 Pa and set the top left wall to open boundary. I noticed that no matter what pressure or velocity I use, I get the same outcome. Is it possible for COMSOL to calculate the pressure needed for either of my simulations to be possible?

Also, would it be possible to simulate balloon inflation in COMSOL?
