Hi,
I am dealing with mass transfer from a sphere.
Initially I have dropped a sphere into a flowing stream (Velocity of stream is 'v') . The spherical particle flows along with the stream. The mass transfer takes place from the sphere into the surrounding fluid. Now if I consider mass transfer due to convection, which velocity should I consider? The velocity of the fluid or the relative velocity of the particle with respect to the flowing stream?
Please help me out with this.
