Introducing conditions at an arbitrary time-step

Hi all,
I am currently simulating charge transport in a PIN diode, but am facing some difficulty. I want to create a version of my system in its steady-state behaviour while under bias first, then introduce a charge plume under these conductions and observe the resulting current at the electrodes of my device.
At this stage, I am only able to introduce the plume at the initialization of the device, which is definitely not in steady state.

Thanks for your help!
