l have been trying to simulate a microcantilever where it is fixed at one end and the other one is free.it is a frequency domain study.a surface pressure is applied on the top surface. I get the following error message :
Failed to find a solution. maximum number of newton iteration reached. There was an error message from the linear solver.
How do I make a nonlinear solver converge in COMSOL Multiphysics? My comsol version is 4.3a

Hi,

First of all you could try refining the mesh,. In case that doesn't work, review your physics. This kind of error message is sometimes generated if there is too much non-linearity in the problem, if there is a jump in the values of any quantity. For instance if the value of any quantity changes too rapidly, that could lead to one such error.

Best,
