Hi
here i was trying to find the thermal expansion of a mirror ( steel ). I was able to apply the physics, structural mechanics and in that linear elastic property i added thermal expansion and applied a temperature difference of 10 deg C. The output values are same as expected but am facing a problem of displacement of whole my object . I placed the mirror to be free floating and by theory it should expand in all direction equally but in my model i noticed that my whole image have shifted in some axis , i guess its because of the change in center. how can i correct it ? ,so that it expands uni-formally in all axis same . i have attached jpegs of my results and please help me to correct my result.
thanks
