Miss-match in frequency and time domain results

I am trying to simulate MEMS structures. I tried , a simple cantilever and a gyroscope structure. In both the cases the results of frequency domain analysis didn't match with time domain(I am providing a sinusoidal body force with the same frequency as the frequency for frequency domain analysis). Displacement field in frequency domain was at least 10 times of maximum displacement in time domain. Why is this happening?
