Periodic particle continuity across boundaries

I'm trying to simulate a very simple 2D system of some particles moving in a force field on a single domain. I have the simulation working with the exception of the required boundary condition for particle loss to the walls.

I would like any particle which approaches a wall to pass through it and re-appear on the opposite side of the domain. It looks as though the condition I need is "particle continuity" so I've set up pairs for each of the walls of the domain, set the walls to "pass through" and selected the pairs in a continuity node on the physics tree.

But the particles seem to be getting stuck on the wall, instead of passing through (see attached) and I can't think of anything else to try. Any ideas?
