air duct modeling & pipe elbow example issue

as a reference.
Because the duct is way bigger (60*15cm^2) than the pipe in reference example, I had to decimate meshes quite a bit. (1.5h computation using example meshes, down to 4min with "coarce" ones and /4 distributions).
I also use k-epsilon turbulence as the ventilation happens "naturally" so the realistic velocity is roughly somewhere close 0.05-0.4 m/s
Is it possible to make the model more realistic? Both modelling and physics tips would be very useful, as I'm not an air duct expert.
PS. program file is little over 25Mb, any ideas what should be done to have it attached here?
PPS. I tried to build the pipe elbow model myself, but the issue with comp.genext aroused (picture attached). Couldn't find any difference between my model and downloaded one, any help appreciated!
